We are excited to perform as part of the University of Wisconsin-Madison's George Crumb Festival on Friday, March 20 at 8pm at the Music Hall.
Works include George Crumb's Vox Balaenae, the world premiere of a commissioned work by Joshua Hintze, and Mason Bates' Difficult Bamboo.
See you there!
I'll be joining some amazing Chicago artists for a complete live performance of J Dilla's album, "Donuts". This will be the third time we've done the album and each concert feels like a spiritual experience. Last year, we opened for Questlove, this year, we'll be opening for Pete Rock + Slum Village. So excited for this show!!!
I haven't been to the United Center for a Chicago Bulls game since 1994, and couldn't have a better excuse to make a return visit. I'll be playing in the Halftime Show with my band, the Chicago Players! We've got a great arrangement of tunes ready to get the crowd on their feet from something other than a 3-pointer. I'll be attempting to dunk at some point.
Lakeshore Rush is a brand new chamber music group formed in Chicago. Consisting of piano, percussion, flute, clarinet, violin and cello, Lakeshore Rush will be performing works by composers such as Mason Bates and Marc Mellits. I'm very excited to be working with this cast of characters!
